NS4P members rate businesses on how aligned they are with Palestine Solidarity.
The idea started by noticing how businesses reacted to customers wearing keffiyehs, and we wanted to warn our membership about establishments that are hostile to keffiyehs and promote the ones that we know are friendly.

Even though these are not on the North Shore, members have shared stories about these Vancouver establishments, so we are sharing them here.
The 0-5 ⭐️ rating system is not an exact science, but you can think of it as:
- 0 - hostile
- 1 - tolerant of visible signs of solidarity with Palestine, such as keffiyehs.
- 2-4 - some combination of goods are recommended / friendliness to the cause
- 5 overtly friendly to the cause
If we have held some sort of meeting at a dining establishment, which implies welcome of a large group of people in keffiyehs, the establishment gets 3⭐️. If they have signalled welcome, but we haven’t had the chance to visit yet, we give them 2⭐️. If they have signed the Apartheid Free Pledge , they automatically get 5⭐️.
