On September 29, 2026, in collaboration with Watermelon Pictures, we will be holding a screening of Palestine 36 at the Nature House at the Wild Bird Trust in North Vancouver, from 6:30-9:30.
Tickets are available for purchase at https://tinyURL.com/NS4Palestine. Pay what you can, with a minimum price of $5 per ticket, with any extra proceeds to be split as they are for cash donations at our outreach booth.
About the film
Palestine 36 was directed by Anne Marie Jacir and released in 2025. Set in 1936, the film follows the fictional character of Yusuf as he drifts between his rural home and the restless energy of Jerusalem, longing for a future beyond the growing unrest. But history is relentless. With rising numbers of Jewish immigrants escaping antisemitism in Europe, and the Palestinian population uniting in the largest and longest uprising against Britain’s 30-year dominion, all sides spiral towards inevitable collision in a decisive moment for the British Empire and the future of the entire region.
We will be serving cookies and tea! For those who can spare the time, there will also be a discussion after the screening.

There is free parking available for those travelling by car, and it can be easily accessed using the 212 or 215 buses for those using public transport.
You can find your way there using Google or Apple maps.
The Nature House is a building about 100m South from the centre’s parking lot. We will have marked the area with a Palestine flag, and there will be signs near the flag showing the way to the Nature House.
